In conversation with Natasha Chipman

We sat down with Creative Director and Co-Founder of Natasha Schweitzer, and long-time Glo client Natasha Chipman, to talk all things self-care, motherhood, and how her perspective has evolved since becoming a mum.

As a founder and a mother, the 'me-time' window is usually pretty small. How has your perspective on self-care shifted since becoming a mum?

When I was pregnant, I had so many people telling me that my ‘me time’ would be gone. That working out, beauty appointments, or even getting dressed to go out would shift into non-existence. I am very happy to say that none of that ever happened to me. I am blessed to have an amazing husband and supportive family who help me, enabling me to look after my mind and body and create a space in my life for self-care. I really don’t crave time away from my son and husband, my goal is always to spend as much time with them as possible, but I think that looking after yourself really helps make you a better mother. Of course, I am so privileged and say this through the lens of my own experience and the fortunate position I am in to receive help.

You’re a regular at Glo. When you’re here, is it about the clinical results, the mental reset, or a bit of both?

I would say a bit of both. Looking after my skin is of course my main objective, but it is so nice to rest for an hour, to be cared for and to not have to think much. You can snuggle in, lay down and just relax — no phone, no work drama, just rest.

In your work, you create 'modern heirlooms.'  Do you view your skin health similarly — as something to invest in and care for long-term?

Absolutely! Anyone who knows me knows how much I take care of my body, internally and externally. The skin is our biggest organ, and I see that as one of my main priorities in life — to look after my body so that I can age gracefully. Like jewellery, our skin needs care, and I think it is so nice that we now think of self-care as an investment for a long-life and healthy skin.

What is the one Glo Haus treatment you’d recommend to another time-poor mum who needs maximum results with zero downtime?

For me, I love the LED Facial. It takes roughly an hour, is quick, painless, easy, and I leave with dewy and glowing skin.
